I actually didn’t mind them removing the sexual relationship she had with Dale in the tv version, but her characterization was so piss poor. It is what it is and she really did do a great job. The television version of Andrea is absolutely atrocious. I feel really bad for all the actresses, but especially Laurie (who played Andrea.) There's just no way she could've done any better with what she was given, so I can't even bother to hate her character. Laurie Holden has briefly stated that had Andrea lived through season 3, she would have ended up with Rick. Beth had no personality whatsoever and when she's finally given screen-time in season 2, we get another suicide plot because females, I guess.

Maggie spent the entirety of season 2 frowning at Glenn and I think the only reason she didn't get as much hate is because she's introduced as a love interest. The series finale took a dramatic turn in its final few minutes, looking both ahead and back as viewers saw the return of Andrew Lincoln 's Rick Grimes and Danai Gurira 's Michonne who will be. She also played big roles in the show’s earliest stories and had a part in the group’s decision-making. In season 1, Andrea had strong relationships with Dale (Jeffrey DeMunn) as well as her sister, Amy (Emma Bell). It made no sense how she was so clueless, childish and stupid when she had just given an arc that could've triggered her character development. In the AMC series, Andrea was an original member of Rick’s group in Atlanta and a casualty of the show’s Governor arc. Lori had to be the "bitch" ruining Rick and Shane's friendship because, ya know, men don't have free will and Lori is an evil force making them act the way they do.
